Advice from a fellow Cake Artist

While getting to know all about cakes I ran across a very informative site. Marie at Celebration Generation Cakes has answered a lot of those pesky questions about cakes.  I haven't broke down and bought her books yet, but they are on my "please, please, please, buy me these" list.

“So.. What’s the Deal with Fondant?”

Marie goes into some of the history of fondant and gives her experience and opinions of its "bad reputation".

For me personally, I use a brand called Fondarific.  It is soft, colorful and tasty in a variety of flavors.  Since changing to this fondant, guests have not been tossing the fondant off to the side.  Flowers make with Fondarific are flowers you want to pull off the cake and eat!

Check out Marie's rant on fondant.  I agree whole-heartily.
